Dev Patel in Avatar: The Last Airbender

First off, this is NOT to be confused with James Cameron's Avatar, two COMPLETELY different things. This, is based on the cartoon, Avatar. For those of you who have seen it, well, you probably know more about it than I do. This'll be directed by M. Night Shyamalan, starring Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel. Check the photos out. last-airbender-FLUSAT-full-photo 00588a Pictures courtesy of FirstShowing & lastairbenderfilm.com respectively. Looks pretty decent, I guess, but maybe I'll need a little more convincing than just a photo. That, and I'll need to know what Avatar is. Kazed.

The Office 'The Wedding' promo

406330530_UEUiP-O So, after a long time of back and forth action, here's the promo for the Oct. 8th Episode, airing on NBC. Obviously, if your still stuck on season 4 in the UK(or is it 5?), then don't watch this, it may ruin the plot. If you don't care, watch it. Exciting. Kazed

The Princess and The Frog trailer

The Princes and the Frog Disney Movie
I'm excited for this. Really. Disney returning to hand drawn animation, sounds good to me, and an interesting change of  pace after years of CGI, and various other antics. This, could be something special, and it will, from looking at the trailer. Click the image for a larger size.
A fairy tale about a girl named Princess Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose), who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the Jazz Age, and a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.
Concept, meh, what do you expect, it's Disney. Still though, thats what makes it a Disney movie, so it'll be good. It'll be nice to see how this is approached after years of all this other stuff.

Nice.

Columbia Pictures' Supermax

This looks like an awesome concept-
An action horror tale set in a maximum-security prison for the supernatural. The story centers on a skilled prison guard who is re-assigned to Supermax. After a riot erupts, he must join forces with one of the prison's monstrous inmates in order to survive and fight his way out.
Frankly, I'm tired of movies with recycled and adapted plots. We need something like this to rejuvenate the industry. Well, not like there's anything wrong with it now, I just think that a fresh, original idea would be a good thing. We'll keep you updated with anything we hear. Kazed.

Surrogates Review

406330530_UEUiP-O From the outset, Surrogates had impressed me. Getting us up to speed about what happened over the past decade or so, then jumps into present day. Now I appreciated the history, that eliminated the "what the hell is going on??" and "who the hell is this?!" factors, so that's always a plus. So this is it basically- people, who have robots-Surrogates, which are operated by the Human counterpart. Somebody kills a Surrogate, everybody freaks out, blah blah. So, the concept has very striking similarities to The Matrix, except in this movie they're in the real world. And they can't jump as high as- No..Wait..They can. I did love the super-airbrushed Surrogates, as obvious as this statement may sound to those who have seen it, I thought this was such a nice touch, and it was really cool to see the comparison of it and a Human. I sat there, noticing all these small things- The Surrogates' severely toned down emotion, the lack of hand gestures, just they were all so..lifeless. Ultimately, that seemed to be the whole point here, not to let these robots take over your lives, but these people all had gotten consumed by this..this 'addiction', if you will, and all of the counterparts of the Surrogates were all un-maintained, and just really in bad condition. Except for Willis..Who seemed to be in near-perfect condition..he wasn't really much different to his Surrogate, or 'Surry'. Admittedly, alot of the film was entirely predictable, but the main 'twist' was utterly foreseeable. Despite this, I still enjoyed 90% of this film, I thought it was a clever idea, can't say much for the plot which seemed to go in different directions alot of the time, but the idea, the concept, was good. The main problem, like I said, was the predictability. The finale was...just...blah. It was just all so PREDICTABLE. It seemed to turn into this positive message, how technology is evil, and you shouldn't allow yourself to be consumed by it. Just like everything else in the  world. Overall, a good movie, enjoyed it alot, apart from the parts where I knew what was gonna happen. 7/10. No no, 6.5/10. Kazed
