Stacey's Review: The Next Three Days (2011)

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film. The acting from Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks was brilliant as they were able to portray the love they have between John Brennan and Lara Brennan seamlessly, along with the hurt they go through once she has been incarcerated. The lengths that John Brennan as a husband would go to free his innocent wife is very moving, whilst still being able to take care of their son. The pain that you see him going through daily is upsetting. However when John sees a glimpse of hope of being with his wife again he takes the opportunity and dedicates his life to it. There were parts of the film that were not exciting as the rest as this put more focus on the heartache and torment of losing a loved one into perspective. There is not a lot of this film that I disliked and if there was something that I had to put it down to, was the time that is spent by John preparing for the escape of his wife. This could have been cut shorter and got to the getaway scenes sooner. However you could see they used this to illustrate the detail that John was going through with his plans and how much he adored his wife that he was willing to risk everything to be with her. The film was able to pull me in at an emotional level, where I wanted the family to flee and be together, whilst still keeping me on the edge of my seat. The scenes of them escaping were exciting and nerving. As you saw the love and pain they went through at the beginning of the movie it made you want them to succeed and when John had moved onto the next step in his plan you applauded him for his intelligence. If you enjoyed films such as A Perfect Getaway (2009) and Knight and Day (2010) then this is the film for you. It will ensure that you are kept on your seat whilst still being emotionally inviting. 9/10 Stacey Towner.

HOLY BALLSACK SPIDER-MAN (4) ON SET FOOTAGE!?!?!?!

Very reminiscent of the early Spider-Man films, here we got some footage of Spider-Man/Stuntman/that dude from The Social Network jumping around n shit.

Man, shit looks really cool so far. I'll reserve judgement until I see some solid shit, but as of now it's something to definitely look forward to.

Well, shit. Now we got X-Men: First Class stills? SONOFABITCH!

Lookit, this is an interesting take on X-Men:First Class, from that dude who gave us Kick-Ass. Clicky on them sumbitches to enlarge in a really cool slideshow thingy. This seems so cool in such a weird way, the cast, especially. I'm really not sure what to expect from X-Men: FC, but whatever it is, I can feel it's gonna be unlike any of it's predecessor. Holy crap on a stick! Casting details for The Dark Knight Rises!

Wow, check this shit out, straight from SuperheroHype:
Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle (AKA Catwoman) in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christopher Nolan stated, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story." In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, "I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies." Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.
I think that is AMAZING news. Tom Hardy as Bane is gonna be something to look forward to. Hathaway as Kyle should be interesting. Wow. We'll keep you updated with any further developments. Kazed

Lola reviews: Machete (2010)

I don’t really know how to explain this film in a proper review-type-fashion? So I'm going to bullet point words which express my views: ridiculous sexy amazing unbelievable hilarious mexican explosive Basically, Machete is amazing. It’s ridiculous in a BRILLIANT way, and absolutely hilarious. You get to see Jessica Alba naked, Danny Trejo use a living mans intestines to swing out of one window and smash through a window on the floor below, Lindsay Lohan have a threesome with Trejo and her on-screen mother, and also, Michelle Rodriguez is so sexy in it, I almost wanted to dump my boyfriend and start a worldwide hunt to make her my girlfriend. It’s so strange, that when you go and see it, you’ll understand my inability to write a proper review for it, but I will go as far to say that it is the best movie I have seen in a long time. Well done Rodriquez. 10/10 Thats right. TEN OUT OF TEN.
