Marvel plans 'Doctor Strange'

So for those of you who don't know, Doctor Strange:
“Doctor Strange can use magic to achieve virtually any effect he desires, such as telepathy, energy blasts, teleportation, astral projection, the creation of materials (such as food and water), creating planet-wide protective shields, restoring himself from bodily destruction, or resurrecting the dead. Strange is capable of stopping and reversing time on a planetary scale, sealing black holes, restoring universes, absorbing power enough to unconsciously destroy any surrounding galaxies, growing to the size of and merging with universal concepts, and helped to channel the mass of the entire Marvel Universe.”
So Marvel have received scripts from directors Thomas Donnell and Joshua Oppenheimer, and I guess we're waiting on some word on that. Sounds pretty cool, but, is it viable? I mean, the dude can do basically everything. Might be a little overkill, I think. Another factor is, how many seats are Marvel looking to fill for this? I'm not sure how many average moviegoers know about Doctor Strange and his strange ways, but I can't imagine it being too many. Kudos to Marvel if they're aiming this towards the fans of the comic, but how much is that going to reel in? Don't get me wrong, I commend them for trying to cater to the fans, but isn't everything done for 'good business' these days? Just sayin'     Source: Best For Film Kazed

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus poster

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, now has a poster, courtesy of FirstShowing & Empire. I'm impressed by the all-star cast, but can't say much for the Fantasy genre. I'm not much of a fan, and after watching this, it'll probably stay that way. Stardust, The Golden Compass and all the films within this genre don't tickle my fancy. But, knowing that Heath ledger's role was recast to show 'alternate versions' of himself seems pretty sweet. However, reading the synopsis of this, I MAY just give this one a watch:
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a modern-day fantasy adventure in which Dr. Parnassus has the extraordinary gift of inspiring the imaginations of others. Helped by his traveling theatre troupe, including his sarcastic and cynical sidekick Percy and versatile young Anton, Parnassus offers audience members the chance to transcend mundane reality by passing through a magical mirror into a fantastic universe of limitless imagination. However, Parnassus' magic comes at a price. For centuries he's been gambling with the devil, who is coming to collect his prize - Parnassus' precious daughter, Valentina on her birthday. - FirstShowing.net
Sounds like fun. Yeah, think I might see what's going on here. Click the thumbnail below for the full poster, courtesy of Empire. imaginarium Kazed.
