'Making Ugly' Press release

Few months ago, we saw the trailer for this film, and now, seems like the film is seeking distribution. So here's the official press release along with a cool new poster for the Indie flick. World Press Release: Squarebox Yellow LTD Announces Completion of Independent British Feature Film Making Ugly Directed by Andrew Niblo Starring Paul Quinn, Jamie Jack Gordon and Margaret Ann Bain Today 16 August 2011 Squarebox Yellow proudly announced the completion of its maiden feature film production Making Ugly, a British independent thriller shot on the minute budget of £7000 across London and Edinburgh. Making Ugly is a provocative, dark thriller, the debut feature film of writer/director Andrew Niblo. Making Ugly features an impressive Scottish and English ensemble cast of rising stars from UK theatre and television. Already tagged as “the next great gritty British thriller” Making Ugly is a powerful experience that will keep you guessing from start to finish.                   Making Ugly follows the tales of three captivating characters on a sinister journey. As the worlds they know are changing and crumbling around them, they too transform in ways that you would never expect. Neil (Paul Quinn) is a tormented, exiled family man with a secret. Heather (Margaret Ann Bain) is a woman on the edge and about to discover her own terrifying strength. When the mysterious Stark (Jamie Jack Gordon) enters their lives he lures them into an ugly world of mystery and deceit. No one can be trusted when you are Making Ugly. Behind the scenes the uniqueness of Making Ugly lies in the manner it was produced. From the initial stages of development, the producers faced the challenge of realising Andrew Niblo's vision and securing the necessary cast, crew, equipment and locations usually seen in mid-budget films with extremely limited funds. Through ingenious strategies and sheer determination, Mara Adina and Dara Carroll completed Making Ugly on the incredibly low budget of £7,000. Squarebox Yellow is also very happy to announce that Making Ugly will now be entering it’s festival season with plans to screen throughout British, European and American festivals. Making Ugly is currently seeking distribution.

Wonderful new trailer for Jack and Jill(2011)

Okay, so I'm kidding. This is in no way wonderful or new, for that matter, because everything you see in this trailer is the complete opposite to wonderful, and is as clichéd as cliché can be. Really. Just watch.   I honestly can't express how much I wanted to stop watching this. But I continued so I could prevent others from doing so. No use saying that then putting this line of text after, eh? Hahaha. Anyway, what do you guys think of this? Will you be paying to watch Adam Sandler's latest masterpiece? Discuss, oh PLEASE discuss this atrocity. This destroys cinemas November 2011.

New trailer for Green With Envy (2011)

I love this. I doesn't look like a typical Rom-com. Check the trailer out- starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. Rom-coms are great... ...NOT. I love the way that this was done. It seriously had me at the beginning. Can't say I'm not excited for it, and looking at the enormous list of guest stars, this should be a treat. Kazed

Triangle (2009) review

Synopsis: The story revolves around the passengers of a yachting trip in the Atlantic Ocean who, when struck by mysterious weather conditions, jump to another ship only to experience greater havoc on the open seas. Triangle is most probably one of the most confusing films I've seen a long time. With it's incessant repetition of scenes, it was certainly a film which had it's share of twists and-well, that's really what the film was: A large twist. Not that this was necessarily  a bad thing, It was like watching a feature-length episode of lost. Every so often I found myself scratching my head in complete confusion, it was difficult to grasp what was happening, by three quarters into the film, the 'time loop' was getting quite tiresome, but really effective. The swift transition from a seemingly 'realistic' film to something completely out of the ordinary was really quite impressive. Although it may have been a little predictable at times, but ultimately delivers a unique experience, something which is certainly lacking in films nowadays. Continuity was a huge factor here, and I think it was certainly well executed and put together almost flawlessly. Ultimately, Tireangle Triangle is a decent horror/psychological thriller film, although it may get repetitive at points, definitely a film which was a good watch. 6.5/10 Kazed
