Die Hard 5 gets an official release date & name

Source: The Reel Scoop So this news is a couple of days old, but no matter, the next Die Hard in the franchise, aptly named, "A Good Day To Die Hard" has been given an official release date of February 14th, 2013. Here's the synopsis from 20th Century Fox: Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy. It'll be good to see Willis back to playing McClane, to be honest though, Die Hard 4.0/Live Free or Die Hard wasn't exactly the best film in the franchise.

Kazed Reviews: Kevin Smith's Red State (2011)

Synopsis: Set in Middle America, a group of teens receive an online invitation for sex, though they soon encounter fundamentalists with a much more sinister agenda. I've waited a long time to see this film, and I finally got a chance to see it. No no, I've waited a long time to see a Kevin Smith film, and I'm glad I got a chance to see it. This was undoubtedly much more different than his past exploits, and it didn't feel like a Kevin Smith film(If you've seen any of the pre-Zack and Miri films, you'll get it). The concept of the film is interesting enough, but I couldn't help but feel a slight bit let down. It contained elements to make the film as entertaining as it could be, like guns, action, preaching about the Bible, and gratuitous violence. Okay, maybe not the Bible part, but the inclusion of it gave it a sense of purpose. The reference to the folks over at the Westboro Baptist Church was a nice touch, and the differences between them and the Cooper Family in Red State are.. well, guns. Smith himself has stated that he drew inspiration about the infamous Kansas family, and the resemblance is uncanny. Anyway, John Goodman, Michael Parks and Melissa Leo all played their respective roles beautifully. Just them being on screen for a minute and you can tell they're all season veterans in this business. Michael Parks portrayed the sinister pastor with great aplomb; from the moment he was at the altar to the moment he was holding the firearm, every moment he was on screen it was clear to me that nobody could have played this part better than Parks himself. Likewise with Goodman, his role as ATF Agent Keenan was obviously a conflicted character, more so toward the end, but his monologue in the court room after the big scene between the government agents and the Cooper family was a beautifully scripted scene, and the emotion that Goodman delivered was phenomenal. Red State was a fast-paced, violent-but-beautiful addition to Smith's long legacy of cult classics, and a film which could possibly be his strongest, though not my favourite. Will I be buying the DVD/Blu-ray? Hell yes. Performances: 8/10 Plot: 8/10 Visuals: 7/10 Dialogue: 9/10 Overall: 8/10

It's great seeing the whole cast reunited for one more time(or knowing Hollywood, five more times), I think a lot of people have been waiting for this, myself included. American Reunion is set to hit theatres April 2012.

New trailer for A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (2011)

Wow. I'm not so sure if this works anymore, although I did chuckle a few times, but really it just seems like the charm of the first film fell out of the second film's ass, then the third just completely went off track and, well... just watch:
Ugh. On the flipside, NPH :D

New red band trailer for Kevin Smith's Red State (Mature audiences only)

I've been following this for some time now, and being a huge fan of Kevin Smith's, I'm a fan of anything he does. This film is completely different to anything he's done in the past, and it shows. It looks like it could top his past films(that's saying a lot, for me), and with the great cast this film has, it looks like it could garner a good amount of attention. Only problem, however, is that this film will only get a limited release, so only a select few theatres will get to see this baby... There's always thepiratebay*...
