Kazed reviews: Buried (2010)
Synopsis: Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.
It's not particularly easy to make a film which takes place entirely in a coffin, and not easy to keep that shit interesting either. This film managed to keep me interested, and made me want to piss myself because I needed one and this film didn't let me because it was so freakin intense.
This was some gripping shit, let me tell you. The film revolves around this guy, Paul, and basically he gets screwed throughout. Not literally, of course, that would be pretty unnecessary, and of course wouldn't make sense if he was in a coffin and was being screwed- enough of that.
Cutting it short, there are some great shots inside the coffin, and with the intense score it was a great combination, and the ending was interesting, of course it had to go somewhere, and seeing it end the way it did was surprising, I, for one didn't see it coming I guess until the last 10 minutes or so.
Good film, me likey.
7.5/10, the pacing was good, but there were a couple of moments where it seemed to drag on a little.
