Muni on TV: Outnumbered, Jersey Shore, Happy Endings and Beaver Falls

Outnumbered (new) As the new series of Outnumbered started on Friday, I was filled with huge optimism, I didn’t even realise it was starting until someone posted it on facebook, oh the joys of social networking! Anyway the series where it left off making me laugh uncontrollably. The reason why the show is successful is down to the casting of the children they are brilliant. The chemistry between the parents and children is key to the show being as successful as it has been. The children have grown but they have become a lot wittier and very smart for their age. Always a wonderful watch. 8/10 Jersey Shore (new) I can’t believe I didn’t review when it started last month, a massive fail on my part. Anyway the fist pumping crew are in Italy! & What a time the GTL crew are having in Europe. It the same on concept they drink, they argue, the sleep with girls who are DFT, in our case twins! And obliviously the Sammie and Ron fiasco of a relationship, which in my eyes is a pathetic excuse to call a relationship, blow up in to a fight between Mike & Ron. I always enjoy watching trashy TV and Jersey Shore does get a lot of stick, but when it comes down to it a lot of people watch and it draws huge rating for MTV. If you’ve been a fan you wont be disappointed, if you’re new to the show go a head and watch in all its glory. 7/10 Happy Endings (new) When I saw the advert on E4 for this show, I was honestly confused why they were going to start showing this show. I remember watching the pilot a couple of months back, I’ve got the first season and didn’t go beyond the first episode, so that is what I am judging it on. I didn’t like it one bit!! OK so that might be a bit harsh, but the show started with so much promise, it had a unique taste on a 20 something friends’ sitcom. But the characters were very dull or annoying or non likable. It was disappointing to watch this and ill be honest, I should watch a few more episode to judge the show fairly, but I wasn’t impressed and don’t think a lot of you will be too. If you disagree let me know. 4/10 Beaver Falls (final) I can’t believe the last time I did a TV review this show was just starting, and now a lot of weeks after the show has come to an end. I’ll be honest E4 has done a great job making this show. It’s always done well marking toward teens and young adults, form Skins, The Inbetweeners, and now Beaver Falls. I think a lot of people have become a fan of, Flynn, A-rab, and Barry, who travel to the US for some camp action. Obviously when it first aired it looked like another teen comedy drama, but as the show has developed it has brought out the complexities within each characters. The show is well written and the acting is great. The show has a great blend of humour, action and drama. I am honestly going to miss this show and I l=think a lot of people will to. It sad to get so attached to characters and shows, I hope is back again next year, ill be disappointed if it doesn’t. 7/10

Muni on TV: 6 shows I've been watching

First and foremost I would like to start of my apologising for not writing on here every month as I has intended to, third year of university took more out of me then I thought it would, but now that I’m home and unemployed, I got time on my hands so I'll be reviewing TV shows and movies a lot. Enjoy, and if you want me to talk about shows that you think I should then let me know in the comments below. Peace! Made in Chelsea – E4 So I’ve been watching this on E4, it’s like the British version of, “THE HILLS,” yes it has your clichéd characters and storylines filmed as a documentary. There’s already a show on ITV 2 called, “the only was is Essex” and you may think this is like that, and in a way it is, but it is so much better. It is shot in a better style then the latter, and does a good job to keep the viewer interested with better storylines.  I would recommend it if you’re a fan of the hills and such program one for the ladies but always a fun watch. The Apprentice UK – BBC 1 So were five weeks in and I don’t know what season we're on (seven?) anyway this that being said this time around the contestants have a chance to go into business with Alan sugar. We have our usual candidates: brash, annoying, funny, winners and losers. There’s no one who stands out at the moment but Jim is doing a good job mind controlling everyone in the house. Apart from that, Kazed likes Melody, worth a watch if you’re a fan. Lead Balloon – BBC 2 The fourth season of comedy show led by Jack Dee only started last week and already had me in fits! I love this show the dry humour and the relationship Jack’s character has with the rest of his family is amazing. The first episode was very funny and the pig was very cute. Would recommend this to anyone who loves Jack Dee and his honour. Geordie Shore – MTV Jersey shore spin off, based in Newcastle has the same premise off Jersey Shore 8 housemates get together and live in an ultra luxury apartment, they get pissed and pull lads and birds. The show is pretty self explanatory but if you liked Jersey you will enjoy Geordie, with there unique slang and way of life its always a fun watch. Game of Thrones – HBO So HBO have come leaps and bounds over the past few years, with amazing shows like the Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, and now Game of thrones, this fantasy drama staring Sean Bean has it all: Great story, fantastic actors and is beautifully shot. If you like shows like the ones previously mentioned then this is definitely one for you.  A great story that I would recommend to anyone who wants to watch a good show over the summer. Tough Enough – USA Better late then never, there’s only one more episode left on TE, but don’t let that stop you from downloading (the legal way) the past episodes and watching them. This show has been away for a while but its back with a new host and new trainers. The cast themselves are amazing to watch with a Miss USA in there too! If you’re a wrestling fan and enjoyed the previous seasons then you will definitely love to watch this. Muni.

Right so those were my picks of shows that have already aired, and which I believe will be a cult hit here in the UK. If you haven’t had a chance to watch either of them I absolutely recommend you do. Now I am going to talk about brand new shows airing in the UK, and whether I believe they will be a success or not, and weather they are worth watching. Episodes – Series 1 – BBC 2

I am going to write about them, because I think they will be a definite watch, and will be a cult success. Also I won’t be able to rate the shows, as I have not watched them yet. 10 O’clock Live – series 1 – Channel 4
