Weinstein company bringing back Scream, Short Circuit, American Werewolf?

So I just read the Weinstein brothers(Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Inglorious Basterds) maybe bringing back the Scream franchise. Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Neve Campbell are planned to return to the classic slashfest. Besides Scream, Short Circuit, Scanners, American Werewolf in London are planned to be revived.
