Two new clips for In Time (2011)

Source: Substance Synopsis: Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there’s a catch:  you’re genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich “earn” decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day.  When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage.  Living minute to minute, the duo’s love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system. I'm seriously waiting for this to release, possibly one of the most anticipated film for me. Dealing with Leon I’m a Timekeeper In Time releases November 2011.

Kazed reviews: Friends With Benefits (2011)

Synopsis: While trying to avoid the clichés of Hollywood romantic comedies, Dylan and Jamie soon discover however that adding the act of sex to their friendship does lead to complications. Watching this film, I fully expected what I was getting myself into. I knew it was going to be a Rom-Com, I knew that there would have been many clichéd moments, lines and all the other things that Rom-Coms to come out of Hollywood have. I sitting there, just watching the film, minding my own business eagerly awaiting the typical Rom-Com stuff to happen. This is what I was expecting to happen: Timberlake and Kunis have sex, they continue having sex until one of them (or both) falls in love with each other. They both realise that being FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS is a bad idea and both go their separate ways until they realise what they were looking for the whole time was each other. BOY was I right. Thing is, although it did follow the typical formula of a Rom-Com, it was delivered in such a way that was actually watchable, and the obvious, clichéd moments in the film were spread out quite far apart, and in between we were given Woody Harrelson, an emotional mini sub-plot involving Timberlake's on-screen Father, Richard Jenkins, and some hilarious moments with Kunis and her on-screen Mother, Patricia Clarkson. Ironically, the premise of the film ended up being it's (partial) downfall, but for the most part, Friends With Benefits was actually a well rounded, semi-clichéd rom-com with witty humour and charming performances from the both co-stars. Kunis and Timberlake provided some brilliant chemistry, and proved that not all Rom-Coms are bland, boring and repetitive. Sure, it was a little predictable and formulaic, but it was the bread for the humour sandwich that was Friends With Benefits. Performances: 7/10 Plot: 5/10 Visuals: 6/10 Dialogue: 8/10 Overall: 6.5/10

In Time(2011) 4 minutes of footage!

This is a brilliant idea for a film. The synopsis:
Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks(Justin Timberlake) is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage(Amanda Seyfried). Living minute to minute, the duo’s love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system.
I love it. The footage alone is brilliant. I'm excited, and shock I hadn't heard anything about this earlier. Kazed.

Muni Reviews: Bad Teacher(2011)

When I went to the cinema last week I was hoping to watch Bridesmaids but as it was sold out I decided to give Bad Teacher a go. When I saw the trailer there were some funny moments but it didn’t stand out to me even with a good-looking cast. Cameron Diaz plays Elizabeth Halsey who just after finishing her first year teaching middle school has to come back for year two when her rich fiancée dumps her for only marrying him for his money. She doesn’t like to teach the kids and makes them watch films in class all day, however when she hears that the best class gets a bonus she decides to cheat and win, and with the money get a boob job. The jokes are funny when they happen, the unfortunate thing is that as a comedy, it doesn’t deliver, I wasn’t constantly laughing, I chuckled here and there but it didn’t stand out as a comedy, which was a huge shame. Story aside, the characters were pretty dull and unoriginal, you can tell that the actors are trying hard to make the script and story work but with the characters being so two dimensional its very difficult. Justin Timberlake was good eye candy for the women, but brought a cringe worthy performance which I was upset about as I thought he did a great job in The Social Network. The only saving grace of the film is Jason Segel who is by far the best thing about the film.  The ending is also a better ending for these types of films, so credit to that. The directing is nothing new and fancy it is however simple and clean cut it works well and it looks like the director got what he needed from the people around him. It’s a shame he didn’t take a risk to create anything original shot wise and it looked pretty bland throughout. Finally the music and the soundtrack was your typical mix of indie pop rock songs and didn’t have an impact story wise or on the film. That’s not a bad thing but again like the film it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. Overall I’d say that if you want to watch this film wait until it comes on DVD or better still on TV, trust me your not missing out. It’s a wannabe comedy that falls short from coming together. Directing 6/10 Acting 4/10 Story 5/10 Music 5/10 Overall 5/10
