Hey hey people,
I’m Steve and I’m the latest addition to the team here. I’m a final year English and Media Studies student at Swansea University, mainly focusing on journalism, but have a real passion for most kinds of media, be it print, tv, radio, film or the big ole Internet. I used to write full-time for a certain Leicestershire newspaper, and I’ve done a fair bit of work with music journalism, from reviewing releases and shows to conducting interviews with all the big names (sort of). So the next progression for me was to attempt to write about one of my other loves: film. I’m new to this film review malarkey so please be kind and give me a bit of time to settle into my new shoes!
Steve

This film is da bell of da ball.

Serious!! Lets see how the movie turns out to be. Probably be focused on rachel and ross.
Can’t wait for that episode. Its the hour long one too. This episode should be sad, happy and funny all at the same time lol.
Agreed. But for a movie made for kids, it does its job. Now leave me alone.

BORAT, BORAT, BORAT
I have taken note> I will never fight Robsessed fans over a poster. I dont want to die :S
I LOVED this film – hilarious but kinda gross and makes you jump. Would have liked a more definate ending rather than the whole walking away into the sunset kinda thing. I like to know what happens! #1 Cardio.x
Robert pattinson is a cancer on the movie world. An incurable one at that. He can’t act, doesn’t wash and to be honest is a full of dickmunch. Simples.
Edward Norton, was there ever such a man who could play a character with brad pitt as his alternate personality. This film should be awesome.
Megan fox. simples.
Yes, I agree, the whole red ribbon and goth font thing works. Just came from watching New Moon. It’s good. takes itself a bit too seriously here and there – I was just praying for one of the wolves to turn back to human and be standing there hold his jewels. And why no bare naked wolf women? Apart from that, loved it.
hell yes it did – i went twice haha. brilliant film!
also can i point out its New Moon not Eclipse!
There we go. NOW IT’S NEW MOON!
I enjoyed twilight in a film in itself, it was entertaining for the most part. However I wouldn’t say it was close to other vampire films (Interview with a vampire and from dusk til dawn). Not saying that the concept of these films is completely different however.
My biggest problem with twilight (minus Robert Pattison. ‘Not washing bastard’) is how it manages to ruin and turn what a vampire is, into something that it isn’t. Basically makes the vampire seem a bit of a ‘pussy’ somewhat. “oh look, I shine in the light’. I hate the film for that, I hate that it is such a scene film. Basically aimed at 14 year old teen girls. I hate that it became a cult. For one, Lords of Dogtown is an amazing film; however has no following in comparison to twilight and that is a crime!
Because i’ve read the books the film let me down. So much is missed out and stupid lines like ‘Hold on tight spider monkey’ and the scene where Edward smells her as she walks into the class room just annoyed the hell out of me.
The book explains the situations so much clearer, it’s an okay adaptation but it could have been done soooo much better.
This all coming from a self confessed ‘Twi-Hard’
Still love it though.
Oh the wolf women are coming! Brilliant film.x
The E3’s been wow guides disappointing fans and developers similar to one another, and we all recognize they need to waver things up or else. For the nonce we gather of a rumor local the games diligence occurrence as reported on Kotaku, and it seems like they’re thinking of breach it to the public.
There’s no valid word on this nevertheless – we’ve heard lots of “certified words” with reference to changes in the experience’s design, exclusively to be organize totally improper later on – although it’s been said that the apprehension has already been brought flippant in regard to scrutiny by the wow guides board of the Entertainment Software Joining (ESA).
As a substitute for, what we set as an update on Gamespot is a “No Annotation” comment from ESA superior evil-doing president respecting communications and dig into, Priceless Taylor.
As we do every year, the ESA solicits feedback wow guides and management from exhibitors and attendees on how finest to habituate and evolve the E3 Media & Obligation Zenith to confirm it meets their needs. Each element of the Zenith is opened in the interest of powwow, and that modify is continued to fulfil a productive and effectual experience. With regard to today’s published reports, the ESA does not observe on rumors and speculation, and wishes manufacture an advert about the details and logistics of the 2009 E3 Media & Business Apex at the seemly time.
There’s been some major fallout in E3’s wheel of pals, like Activision Blizzard who chose to leave out the knees-up this year, and in place of hold its own as it in the identical week. That’s individually from all the critics who’ve thrown in their two cents on the current construction of E3, wow guides such as EA’s John Riccitiello, Ubisoft’s Laurent Detoc, and EA Sports’ Peter Moore.
Disenchant’s fathom if ESA can cook up something that last wishes as attract them retire from for the 2009 E3. Also gaol it posted here in search more updates.
Personally the most awaited Marvel’s movie is definitely Spiderman 4.0! Can’t wait for its to come..
Erskine, Addicting Games Website
mr tuzz luzz likes avatar and the surname of the main character.
amazing film, nothing like smurfs, much better.
oh this is so sad
must be true because movieville said so
defeniately favorited
So annoyed took me ages to enter a damn website when I clearly dont have one. ANYWAY, nice top 10 defo agree with one. love the fact you have terminator up there. awesome film. 1 of 3 parts I might add. Yet to check out inglorious and star trek. Been meaning to but time and what not blah blah. Why i am writing, transformers 2 revenge of the fallen is missing. Big mistake Kazed? Epic film, good sequel? Megan Fox, Autobots, Decepticons.. Otherwise good top 10.
Top film. I liked everything about it. I watched it at a normal cinema where the 3D glasses where like a pair of wayfarers and I didn’t like the dark rim of the glasses as they got in the way. If they could make a pair of wrap around glasses without the rim, that would be so much better. Im going to see it again at the IMAX.. I cant wait to jump back into my Avatar and get back to Pandora… brilliant.
I saw the original back in the 80’s and that was my favourite movie when I was a kid. I loved the Greek mythology stories, especially this one. Jason and the Argarnoughts was a good one too. But this was my favourite. I dont think it will live up to my childhood expectations, but I guess nothing beats the memory of ones youth, still it looks good. How big is Aussie Sam Worthington getting.
All great picks, for me Star Trek, Avatar and Surrogates stood out. But then Im a sci-fi fan…. What the hell is Jennifer’s Body doing in that list. Are you having a laugh…LOL.., I think you where using your other head when putting that bimbo in there…LOL
This was the best. Everything worked, even my mates who bag me for being a trekkie thought it was great. It is really going to change the world of Star Trek. I cant wait for the next one… Im sure they will make it. By the end of the movie I wanted to go on another adventure with them. That is the sign of a great movie when all the actors just clicked together and worked….
Megan Who?
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
I don’t know how that has happened to be honest. I mean, yeh, its a decent enough story, the effects were incredible… but I would have thought Lord of the rings and Dark knight had a way bigger hype.
Bah!! My Review is:
All hail Woody Allen! the Master returns with yet another a mesmerizing exploration of emotional and sexual relationships to add to his 1970’s & 80’s New York collection of films.
Allen contrasts the explorative desires of the sublime Rebecca Hall against the almost ravenous Scarlett Johansson – a technique that allows both the audience and Juan (Javier Bardem) to experience the subtly different flavours of desire. Bardem’s performance is charming and passionately free, and once again he draws on his ability to possess every moment of screen time – thankfully in a less unsettling way than in No Country for Old Men.
As usual, Allen’s dialogue and subtext shine through to create a fascinating insight into alternative relationship structures.
The icing on the cake is Cruz’s complete and breathtaking submersion into her emotionally unstable character. If the universe has a positive force it will keep pushing Cruz away from Hollywood trash and further towards films like Volver and VCB – it is truly her calling.
8.5/10
Think about this- Visually, it’s amazing, the story, sure, flawed a little, along with the substandard dialogue, but does it not immerse you into Pandora? Do you not feel as though you’re within the action, the vivid wild that is the world of the badass creatures?!!
My husband would appreciate this post. We were not too long ago discussing about this. hehe
I really loved it. Seen it twice now. Good to see it with some mates and have a laugh. Fat Jesus by far is the funniest. Just the way he dresses, looks, he made the movie. It’s not overly unique, but it keeps rolling. I didn’t really like the mike tyson bit, thought he was a bit of a dickhead. The DVD extras also have more photo’s at the end, which was funny.
I got a feeling they just spoilt tekken!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!! Looks exactly like street fighter. Why would you do that!!! Tekken was suppose to stand out from mortal kombat and street fighter.
The thing i was thinking all the way through was that its so gory how can it be a 15? its not often i brance out into 18 films because im a girl and stuff but i found this pretty horrible! haha.
Its definatly more worthy of 2nd place than LOTR because quite frankly that is as boring as hell after watching it once, i think you could watch Avatar over and over again. One of those films that every time you watch it you notice other little things that make it more brilliant.
Titanic however is just AWESOME.
I have to tell you this is the second time I have come across your website and Im diggin it! I added your blog to my rss reader. Looking forward to see more updates!
It looks to me like they’ve gone and put all the best bits into the trailer, how much more to the movie can their be?
Oh well, we’ll all be going to see it no doubt, bring on May 7th!
(:
Hello Word!!!
